IFSC offers a free distance learning specialization course in foreign language teaching. Registration until 13/12. Secure your spot!

The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) is launching a call for applications for a free specialization in distance learning foreign language teaching (EaD). Places are limited, with classes starting in March 2025. Applications are open until December 13, 2024. Don't miss this chance to qualify for the educational market!

Imagine a course that can boost your career in teaching foreign languages without having to leave your home and completely free of charge.

This is the opportunity offered by Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC), which has just announced Notice No. 18/DEING/2025/1 for the Specialization in Foreign Language Teaching in distance learning (EaD).

But make no mistake: places are limited, and registration deadlines are now open!

Specialization focused on language teaching

According to the published notice, the course will be offered by the IFSC São José Campus, with online classes and assessments carried out remotely.

The proposal is to train professionals to work in teaching foreign languages in basic education, strengthening their pedagogical and methodological skills.

According to the IFSC, this specialization is aimed at educators who wish to expand their skills and meet the demands of the job market, which increasingly requires qualifications in foreign languages such as English and Spanish.

This initiative seeks to promote educational inclusion, allowing teachers from different parts of the country to receive training without having to travel, a factor that can make all the difference in a scenario of growth in distance education.

Distribution of vacancies

Places are limited and divided between two specific qualifications:

  • Teaching English: 50 vacancies.
  • Teaching Spanish: 50 vacancies.

This division allows candidates to choose the area that best suits their profile and professional goals.

Furthermore, the possibility of choosing between two languages increases the chances of meeting the specific demands of different educational institutions, preparing participants to teach in public and private schools in an efficient and innovative way.

Transparent selection process

As reported by IFSC, the selection process will be carried out through an Electronic Public Draw, ensuring equal opportunities.

The draw will take place on December 18, 2024, at 11 am, with live broadcast on the official IFSC YouTube channel.

The list of candidates selected in the first call will be published on December 19, 2024, at 18:XNUMX p.m., on the IFSC website. This methodology aims to ensure transparency and reliability in the process.

Details about the course

The course aims to prepare teachers to face the challenges of contemporary teaching, addressing active methodologies and technological resources applied to language learning.

In addition to synchronous classes, students will have access to teaching materials developed by experts in the field, allowing for a dynamic and interactive learning experience.

This difference places the course among the best specialization options in the distance learning modality currently available.

Registration and Enrollment Calendar

Interested parties must register for free on the IFSC website, between the days November 25 and December 13, 2024.

Successful candidates must submit the necessary documents for enrollment between February 03 and 07, 2025 through an electronic form made available in the notice.

Classes are scheduled to start in March 17th, 2025, giving students the possibility of entering continuing education without having to physically travel, an advantage that meets the current needs of educators from different regions of the country.
