What are the vacancies for teachers in the Navy competition?
O Navy notice 2025 6 vacancies specific to the area of Magisterium, all located in the Rio de Janeiro - RJ). The positions require doctorate and proven teaching experience. See the full list:

Who can participate in the Navy's competition for teachers?
O selective process is aimed at professors with a solid academic background. To participate, the candidate must:
- Be Brazilian born;
- Have between 18 and 62 years until July 2026;
- Be up to date with electoral and military obligations;
- obtain proven moral suitability and have no criminal record;
- Tue doctorate recognized by the Ministry of Education in the vacancy area;
- To introduce proof of teaching experience in higher education;
- Be physically and psychologically fit for temporary military service.
According to Navy notice, the approved teachers will be incorporated as Reserve Officers 3rd Class (RM3) and may have their service time extended annually up to the limit of 96 months (8 years).

What will the selection process for teachers be like?
O selective process from the Navy to the Teaching area is composed of seven steps, which assess everything from theoretical knowledge to teaching skills. The sequence includes:
- objective test – 40 Portuguese language questions, lasting 3 hours;
- Title Test – analysis of diplomas, publications and teaching experience;
- Verification of Biographical and Documentary Data – elimination stage;
- Health Inspection – complete medical examination;
- Physical Fitness Test (TAF-i) – running and swimming;
- Classroom Test – eliminatory and qualifying stage, evaluating teaching methods and content mastery;
- Designation for incorporation – final act that confirms entry into the Navy.
During the Service and Adaptation Internship (ESA), teachers receive military training and begin to act as training officers in educational units and training centers of the Brazilian Navy.
What salaries and benefits are offered?
Os wages for the vacancies of professor in the Navy revolve around R$15 thousand monthly, in addition to benefits such as food, accommodation, uniforms and medical and dental assistance.
During the period of active service, the teacher receives all the rights provided for in the Military Remuneration Law and may, at the discretion of the naval administration, have the contract renewed annually.
