Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country 2025: is it worth it?

The 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country arrived with the promise It may be a more affordable option than the Toyota SW4, but is it really a better choice? Let's dive deep into this analysis, engine, consumption and see if it's worth investing in this renewed SUV.

The 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country underwent a considerable aesthetic overhaul, but was that enough to make it a worthy competitor to the SW4? Well, let's see if this facelift really worked miracles.

design and aesthetics

When we talk about design, the front of the Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country 2025 really attracts attention. Sharper headlights with LED, bumper mixing chrome and the color of the car, and Chevrolet's emblematic gold tie. So far, so good. But what about the rear? Looks like they forgot to finish the job. The rear remains dull, with taillights that resemble plastic lunchboxes.

Interior and comfort

Inside, the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country features a digital dashboard and an 8-inch multimedia center. The aesthetics are pleasant, but the functionality leaves something to be desired. The air conditioning buttons are well positioned, but the cheap plastic finish on some parts of the dashboard does not match the price of the car. At least the seats are comfortable and space is generous, especially in the second and third rows.

Engine and consumption

The 2025 Trailblazer High Country is equipped with a 2.8L Duramax diesel engine, delivering 207 horsepower and 52 kgfm of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission helps make good use of this power. In terms of consumption, it achieves 9,1 km/l in the city and 13,1 km/l on the highway. It's a decent performance.

Performance on the road

On the road, the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country behaves well. The steering is precise and the car is stable, even at higher speeds. The suspension, with a rigid axle at the rear and coil springs, offers a good balance between comfort and robustness. Off-road, the Trailblazer doesn't disappoint either, but the high-performance tires saturate quickly on more challenging terrain.

Comparison with Toyota SW4

So, the big question: is the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country better than the Toyota SW4? In terms of price, the Trailblazer has the advantage, being at least R$20.000 cheaper. However, the SW4 still sells a lot more, likely due to its reputation for reliability and durability. In terms of engine and consumption, the Trailblazer offers similar performance, but the design and finish of the SW4 are superior. Price of the Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country 2025 is 368.550 reais.

Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country 2025 could be a good choice

If you're looking for an SUV with good performance, generous interior space and don't care so much about the rear finish, the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country could be a good choice. It is cheaper than the SW4 and offers a good mechanical package. However, if you value a more refined design and a brand with a history of reliability, perhaps the SW4 is still the best option.

Ultimately, the choice between the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country and the Toyota SW4 will depend on your priorities. If the price is a decisive factor and you are willing to give up some aesthetic details, the Trailblazer can be an excellent purchase. But if you'd rather invest in a car with a more cohesive design and a brand with a greater reputation, the SW4 remains a solid choice.

I'm sticking with the SW4, to compete with it the Trailblezer has to improve a lot.

The transmission is a ****, I have the second one and it got worse than the 2013 one. Now I've been having problems since it was under warranty and they haven't fixed it and now I'm going to spend ten thousand reais on the transmission.
