Two months late, Peugeot has finally started selling its compact electric SUV, the E-2008 GT 2025, in Brazil. Presented to the public in July, the model, which is imported from Spain, has a starting price of R$269.990.
This launch marks the brand's official entry into the compact electric vehicle segment in the country, offering a combination of technology, comfort and financial security.
Safety and comfort features
The new E-2008 GT features an extensive list of advanced driver assistance features, essential for consumers seeking safety and practicality in their vehicles. transit urban.

The model comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, blind spot and imminent collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, license plate recognition, as well as fatigue detector and automatic lane keeping correction. These devices ensure safer driving, especially on long journeys or in heavy traffic situations.
However, the high price can be a limiting factor for many interested parties, despite the technological resources offered. Peugeot, in turn, focuses on the quality and sustainable proposal of the vehicle to attract consumers.
Performance and autonomy
The 2008 E-2025 GT also brings significant improvements in terms of performance. The electric motor has seen a 15% increase in power, going from 136 hp to 158 hp.
In addition, the battery capacity was increased from 50 kWh to 54 kWh, which results in faster acceleration — the car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,9 seconds, compared to the 9,9 seconds of the previous version.
One critical point, however, is autonomy. The SUV has a range of 261 km, according to the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV), which can be a challenge for those who intend to use it on longer trips, as it requires planning stops for recharging.
Charging and convenience
Peugeot has invested in a more efficient charging system. The model has a three-phase 11 kW charger, which allows the battery to be recharged to 80% in just 30 minutes, when connected to a 100 kW station. For everyday use, the E-2008 GT also comes with a 3,2 kW on-board charger, allowing it to be used in standard sockets.
In addition, the brand has established strategic partnerships to facilitate the charging of its customers' vehicles. Peugeot offers free charging at 764 AC chargers and 18 DC fast stations, in partnership with energy management company Zletric. And for those who want to install a charger at home, the brand provides approved options from WEG and ENEL X at its dealerships.
The Peugeot E-2008 GT 2025 arrives with many promises, especially regarding on-board technology and improved performance. However, the high price and limited autonomy may be points to consider for Brazilian consumers.
Peugeot is betting that the evolution of electric cars and the expanding charging network will be enough of an attraction for this segment, which, although growing, still faces challenges in the country.
