New Ram 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024, standard accessories, 377 horsepower engine, see in details

The new RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024 arrived, and can't pass unnoticed. With a big 377 horsepower engine and an impressive list of standard accessories, this pickup promises and delivers a lot of robustness. But is she really all that? Let's see the details, engine, consumption and take a look at this giant on wheels.

A RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024 It's not just a pickup truck; It's almost a truck in disguise. With impressive standard accessories and a powerful engine, it seems to be the perfect choice for those who need strength and performance. But like every star, she also has her shadows. Let's check out every detail and understand if it's really worth the investment.

Design and standard accessories

The first thing that catches your attention RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024 is its imposing design. The chrome front grille, LED headlights and robust bumpers give it an air of brute strength. But let's be honest, all this grandeur is practical?

Inside, the finish is top-notch, with leather and wood details. The Alpine sound system is a show in itself, but the plastic panel in some parts gives a feeling of economy that doesn't match the truck's hefty price. The presence of a giant multimedia and several USB ports, including type C, are positive points.

Engine and consumption RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024

O Cummins 6.7 turbo diesel engine is the heart of RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024. With its 377 horsepower and 117,3 kgfm of torque, it guarantees that you won't get stuck on any terrain. However, all this performance comes at a price. Diesel consumption is high, which can be heavy on your wallet in the long run.

For those who need to tow or carry weight, this pickup is a real tractor, but for urban use, it is overkill. Parking and maneuvering a vehicle of this size in the city is an almost impossible task.

Comfort and functionality

The seats are comfortable and offer electrical adjustments, but the excessive interior space can be a problem in urban areas. The bed has a capacity of 1.088 kg, which is great for heavy work, but again, in the city, this pickup can be more of a headache than a solution.

Starting price of new RAM

With a starting price of R$459.990, the RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024 is not a small investment. Despite the 4% discount on some conditions, it is still a high value for many. If you need a heavy-duty pickup truck and value luxury and technology, it could be worth it. Otherwise, it is better to evaluate other options on the market.

Technical data

The total gross weight (GVW) of the car is 3.448 kg, and its dimensions are: length of 6,06 m, width of 2,21 m, height of 2,03 m and wheelbase of 3,78 m. To drive, a C or D license is required. Fuel consumption is 5,1 km/l in the city and 7,6 km/l on the highway.

Regarding accessories and specifications, the vehicle is equipped with a Cummins ISB 6.7 engine with 377 HP and torque of 117,3 kgf at 1.700 rpm. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission (68RFE) and temporary all-wheel drive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 11 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h. The tank capacity is 138 liters, providing an urban range of 704 km and a highway range of 1.049 km. The bucket holds 1.280 liters and the ground clearance is 33,4 cm.

A RAM 2500 Laramie Heavy Duty 2024 It's an impressive pickup truck in many ways, but you have to consider whether it's really necessary for your daily life. With high consumption and an enormous size, it can be a problem rather than a solution for those who live in the city. However, for those who need brute strength and performance in heavy work, it can be a good choice.

The main focus of the RAM 2500 will not be urban use, for that there are other smaller pickups like the Rampage. It is simply magnificent.

The Rampage is an SUV with an open bed, but it is actually a toro on steroids. By definition, pickup trucks have a body on a chassis and not a monocoque. Real RAM pickup trucks are the 1500, 2500 and 3500. They are not cars for poorly planned urban centers, where lanes are shrunk to accommodate this aberration called โ€œmotorcycle lanesโ€.

What a horrible article. He talked and talked and said nothing. What is the GVW of the car? And the dimensions? C or D license? What is the consumption? And the list of accessories?

I use a Ram 2500 in rural areas, in the city the pickup is very easy to drive, maneuvering is even easier, the height and cameras help with visibility of the surroundings.
Due to the size, weight, power and torque of the engine, you need to pay a little more attention to your speed when approaching intersections for safe braking.
Finally, drivability in urban centers is fantastic and on highways it is much more exciting and very efficient.

My dream purchase, it's beautiful, rough, but super comfortable, who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to have one.
