The world's fastest train is now in testing: CR450 reaches incredible 450 km/h and redefines high speed
The new CR450, currently undergoing testing in China, breaks all records and reaches 450 km/h. Equipped with more than 4.000 monitoring sensors and advanced aerodynamic technology, it promises to revolutionize rail transport with greater efficiency and safety.

The new CR450 surpasses any other high-speed train ever built, operating at 400 km/h and using cutting-edge technology for greater efficiency and safety.

China is once again at the forefront of rail technology with the launch of the CR450, the world’s fastest train. The new model, which has reached 450 km/h in tests, promises to revolutionize high-speed transport.

The train, which is being tested on Beijing's railway lines, it was presented in December 2024 as an evolution of the Fuxing CR400 trains, which are already a benchmark in speed and efficiency. While the CR400 operates at 350 km/h, the CR450 will be able to maintain an operational speed of 400 km/h, surpassing any other passenger train in circulation.

Innovative technology enables unprecedented speeds on the world's fastest train

To achieve this impressive speed, Chinese engineers have improved the magnetic traction system and invested in a revolutionary aerodynamic design. The new water-cooled permanent magnet traction system prevents overheating, allowing the train to operate at maximum power without compromising safety.

The train's aerodynamics have been optimized to reduce air resistance, making travel more efficient and economical. According to Wang Feng, vice president of manufacturer CRRC Corporation Limited, engineers have developed a redesigned bogie deck to improve stability and minimize energy loss.

Enhanced security with thousands of sensors

Safety has always been a critical factor in high-speed trains, and the CR450 is no exception. The new model features more than 4.000 monitoring sensors spread throughout the train structure.

These sensors monitor the landing gear, vehicle body, high-voltage pantographs, and fire detection and control systems in real time. If a problem is identified, the intelligent system can take instant action to prevent accidents.

The CR450 features an “over-the-horizon” recognition system that allows emergencies on the tracks to be identified before the train approaches, ensuring enough time for automatic reactions.

Another major highlight of the CR450 is the improved comfort for passengers.

Thanks to the use of sound-absorbing materials and aerodynamic adjustments, the noise level inside the cabin has been reduced by 2 decibels. This means quieter journeys, even at extreme speeds.

When will the CR450 go into operation?

The CR450 train is still in the testing phase, but experts expect it to enter service in the next few years. When that happens, it could become the new global standard for high-speed rail, challenging even Japan's famous bullet trains.

With unmatched performance, enhanced security and state-of-the-art technology, the CR450 shows that China continues to lead the development of modern rail transportation.

I think this mode of transport would be infinitely better than planes or buses. A 500 km journey in less than an hour and a half!

Long live China!! It left the bloodthirsty Americans and Jews of eternal wars in the dust

Oh, it doesn't even come close to the donkey that is in the final stages of its experiment in the backlands of Seridó, the donkeys use infinite energy from the tips of the quantum atomic mandacarus spines.
