The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) launched the Notice No. 60/2024 for registration in the selection process for free Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) courses. These in-person courses are part of the “Capacita em Rede” project and offer training in several areas, with registrations open until today, November 3, 2024. In total, they are available 1.659 vacancies em 73 courses different, distributed across 42 municipalities in the southern region of Minas.
The free courses aim to provide professional training in different areas of activity, meeting the demands of the local and regional job market. Classes are in-person, with a workload of 50 hours, divided between theory and practice, depending on the area of study. Practical activities take place on the premises of the IFSULDEMINAS or partner institutions. The content involves classroom instruction, practical exercises, case studies and assessments.
Vacancies and locations offered
As 1.659 vacancies are distributed across five regions, covering municipalities such as Cambuquira, Cruzília, Varginha, Itajubá, Campanha, and many others. Some of the courses available include: Production of Sweet and Savory Foods, Pharmacy clerk, Low Voltage Residential Electrician, Intermediate Computer Science, Elderly Caregiver, Community Garden and Seedling Production, among others. Classes will be held in community spaces, parish halls, schools and community centers, with classes at different times, mainly in the evening.

Selection process and criteria
The selection of candidates will be made by registration order, which means that the first to register will have priority for vacancies. inscriptions are free and must be completed online, on the IFSULDEMINAS website. The list of selected candidates will be published on November 4, 2024. In addition, candidates on the waiting list may be called in case of withdrawals or remaining vacancies.
Federal Institute Registration Requirements
To participate in the selection process, candidates must meet the following requirements: CPF number, identity document, minimum education level of incomplete elementary school and minimum age of 16 years (18 years for some specific courses, such as Elderly Caregiver). In addition, the candidate must correctly fill out all fields on the application form and follow the communications sent by email.
