Boticário Group's investment in a new factory in Minas Gerais promises to create 800 jobs by 2028.

The Boticário Group announced the construction of a new factory in Pouso Alegre, in the south of the state, with an investment of R$ 1,8 billion. This project is expected to generate 800 jobs, representing a significant increase in the company's production capacity, which should grow by 50% with the new unit.

Investment details

The works for the new factory do Boticário should start in 2024, and the expectation is that the unit will start operating by 2028.

The investment in the new factory aims to integrate innovation and cutting-edge technology with the high quality standards already known by Grupo Boticário.

Governor Zema emphasized the importance of this investment, which promises not only to increase the production of cosmetics, but also to boost the generation of jobs and income for the people of Minas Gerais.

“With the new factory, Pouso Alegre and the region will be able to benefit from the creation of 800 jobs. Our mission is to generate opportunities and attract more investments to Minas Gerais,” said the governor.

Impact of the new factory on the local economy

O investment from Grupo Boticário promises to strengthen the beauty ecosystem in Brazil and contribute to the industrial and logistical growth of the region.

The Group's Vice President of the Board, Artur Grynbaum, highlighted that the new factory already has a significant presence in Minas, with franchisees, suppliers and distributors.

“This new investment, with the new factory, reaffirms our relationship with the miners and our local partners,” he said.

Boticário Group CEO Fernando Modé added that the investment is also aligned with consumer demands, focusing on offering the best solutions and products.

“We are committed to generating business opportunities and income for hundreds of people in Minas Gerais with the new Boticário factory,” he said.

Commitment to development 

The Secretary of State for Economic Development of Minas Gerais, Fernando Passalio, highlighted that the government is focused on boosting the state's economy and improving the population's quality of life.

He believes that the Group's investment Apothecary will bring comprehensive benefits, both for the local population and for the production chain.

The new factory will positively impact the generation of new jobs in the region.

Negotiations for this investment began in 2023 and involved the support of Invest Minas.

The CEO of Invest Minas, João Paulo Braga, celebrated the confirmation of the new Boticário factory, which promises to generate jobs and income for the people of Minas Gerais.

The group is one of the largest in the beauty sector in the world, operating with several brands and operating in more than 40 countries.

With the new unit, the expectation is that Grupo Boticário will further expand its operations and its contribution to the economy of Minas Gerais.
