In addition to the 300 primary, secondary, technical and higher education job openings, the company invests in the development of current employees to take on new challenges!

The policy of valuing the “household silver” was born with Bem Brasil Alimentos. This year, when the company completes 15 years and prepares to open its third production unit, in the municipality of Perdizes, in Triângulo Mineiro, it would not be different. With the works entering their final phase, the company started hiring, which follows the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) line – or value proposition to the employee, in literal translation. In all, there are 300 direct job openings at the new plant, in technical, management and operational areas.

Simply put, the EVP strategy means offering development opportunities to current employees, through improved work environment experience, promotions and investments in training and qualifications. For those who are arriving, a journey is outlined in the company, so that they feel welcomed, prepared for their functions and, at the same time, engaged with the culture and can develop a sense of belonging to the team.

According to Bem Brasil's Human Resources manager, Franciele Reis, around 76% of opportunities for the new line were closed with internal personnel. “It is a very relevant index and, for us, important, as the employee is able to envision growth within the company and real possibilities in his career”, she points out.

Thus, the company will follow a dynamic of training and development programs for people to work at the Perdizes plant. “There will be technical mentorships and coaching processes, for the training of professionals for leadership positions. Our bet is on On the Job Training, that is, opportunities and training within the workplace, valuing leaders who will occupy supervisor positions, as well as those who were in operational and will go to leadership positions”, he details.

Franciele adds, however, that there will be external hiring, both for new jobs and to fill the job vacancies of those who achieved a promotion. “Bem Brasil has, in its DNA, the guideline of valuing professionals and offering opportunities internally. But he also believes in the importance of seeking people from outside to promote oxygenation and expand innovation. The two strategies are complementary,” she explains.

Bem Brasil is the leader in sales of frozen pre-fried potatoes in the country

Today, Bem Brasil is the leader in sales of frozen pre-fried potatoes in the country and has two units, in Araxá (MG) and Perdizes. After the inauguration of the third plant, it will expand the company's current production capacity from 250 tons per year to over 500. In the new factory, in addition to the various potato formats – canoe, stick, ball, sliced, etc. –, a line of frozen pre-fried onion rings will be processed. The expectation is that the inauguration will take place in early 2022. The total number of direct jobs will increase from approximately 800 to 1.100.

The management method via employer branding, adopted by the company, has been increasingly used around the world, in order to guarantee the competitiveness of the brands. The aim is to retain talent, reduce turnover and also attract the best professionals, precisely because of the visibility of the positive aspects of working for the company. Proof that the recipe works is that Bem Brasil has just received, for the second consecutive year, the “Incredible Places to Work” Award, defined through an evaluation conducted by the Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA), precisely with the employees themselves.
