Fazenda Nova Piratininga is one of the largest in Brazil, with 135 thousand hectares and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Meet this livestock giant!

Imagine a piece of land so vast that it would swallow ten entire countries within it. Sounds like science fiction, right? But, in the heart of Brazil, this reality materializes on a farm whose size defies understanding and arouses the curiosity of even the most skeptical.

Although the image of a rural property of this size seems like a legend, it exists and is located in São Miguel do Araguaia, in the state of Goiás, Fazenda Nova Piratininga is more than a simple rural property.

With 135 thousand hectares interconnected in a single registration, it competes for the title of largest farm in Brazil.

To give you an idea of its size, all 10 of the world's smallest countries, together, would fit comfortably within its borders.

According to the Fatos Rurais channel, The Nova Piratininga Farm was purchased in December 2010 by three businessmen from Goiás, including João Alves de Queiroz Filho, controller of the Hypermarcas Group.

At the time, the value of the business was around R $ million 310, an amount that seems modest compared to the $ 30 billion in which the property has been valued according to the AGFeed website.

Cutting-edge livestock farming and robust infrastructure

Nova Piratininga doesn’t just stand out because of its size. The farm is a reference in high quality livestock, housing 105 thousand heads of Nellore cattle, known for their robustness and adaptability.

The farm's infrastructure is equally impressive, with 970 km of dirt roads, enough to go from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro more than twice.

According to Rural Facts, the property also has a water storage capacity of 10,6 million liters, distributed across 10 reservoirs, essential for the maintenance of the herd and daily operations.

But it's not just cattle that receive attention in Nova Piratininga. The farm is practically a city, with houses for 600 people, including houses, school, workshop, airport, churches and even a dentist's office.

The presence of these social structures demonstrates the owners’ commitment to providing quality of life for employees and their families.

The management challenge and plans for the future

When the new owners took over the farm in 2010, the situation was challenging.

The herd of around 90 thousand animals, of which 60 thousand were reproductive females, had a low birth and weaning rate, well below national standards.

According to Fatos Rurais, Nova Piratininga has entered into a partnership with Fazenda Barreiro Grande, owned by renowned breeder Adir do Carmo Leonel, to improve the genetic quality of the herd.

The project aims to achieve 100 thousand births annually through artificial insemination, raising the standard of animals produced on the farm.

Farm management also underwent a profound transformation.

Igor Nogueira Alves de Melo, one of the partners and administrator of the property, brought his experience and training to implement a governance plan that ranges from herd management to improving working conditions.

According to the Fatos Rurais channel, were built 250 lame houses e 20 resting spots for cowboys, with the goal of doubling the herd and further improving the existing infrastructure.

Competition and controversies: the dispute for the title of largest farm

Although Nova Piratininga is a strong contender for the title of largest farm in Brazil, it faces stiff competition.

Roncador Farm, located in Mato Grosso and with 152 thousand hectares, is often cited as the largest.

However, there is controversy over the registration of property in a single registration, which is one of the criteria for classification.

According to Fatos Rurais, Fazenda Roncador belongs to the Penido family and has almost 50 years of history, while Nova Piratininga, with its 14 years, has already managed to reach a level of efficiency and productivity that puts it in the running for the top.

The future of Nova Piratininga: expansion or sale?

The grandeur of Nova Piratininga did not go unnoticed by the market. In recent years, investment funds have expressed interest in acquiring the farm, attracted by its growth potential.

However, the farm's administrators guarantee that the property is not for sale. The owners' focus is to continue investing in sustainable livestock farming and to make the business profitable in the coming years.

According to Rural Facts, partners meet regularly to discuss the progress of operations and outline strategies for the future.

Intern stuff or material paid for by the owners, first of all this farm was never the biggest in Brazil. Only the biggest in Goias. And it doesn't even reach 15% of the quoted value. Please, go and understand a little more about farms and their values. You are so clueless!!!

I have lived in S. Miguel do Araguaia for 60 years, Mr. Jota Santos. What do you think about the property being larger or smaller? The NP is actually 203.000 hectares. 135.000 in Goiás and 68.000 in Tocantins. But Mr. Marcelo bought 135.000 hectares for one registration. Roncador has dozens of properties, which makes it smaller than the NP. Agro Santa Barbara in Pará has almost 300.000 hectares. But there are several farms under the same CNPJ. The NP really does not reach that value. The stipulated value would be because Mr. Marcelo would not sell it for that price or any other price, no matter how tempting it may be. I have known the farm since Dr. Wagner Canedo, owner of Vasp. It is believed that these 68.000 hectares are his, with the Federal Revenue Service and so on being confidential. So, Mr. Jota Santos, the largest farm in Brazil really is the NP. Because the Roncador of the Penido De La Vecchia family is full of Environmental Preservation registrations. Where they use 50% of the amount that the company SLC, the largest soybean grower in the country, leases all of Roncador's fertile area. Meanwhile, the NP fzd uses 80% in triple aptitude. ****, soybeans, pirarucu fish, where they are installing a cold storage facility for the production of cod. The largest natural lake in Brazil for raising fish, 60 hectares. And in addition to the best infrastructure in Brazil. Whatever you can think of, you will find it there. Hugs

I suggest that the journalist correct the value published as an assessment of the area.
The audio in the video gives the closest price to reality, considering the value of a hectare of a highly valued area in the region, that is, around R$4 billion reais.
There is time to correct it
