Senai and the Federal Government offer 200 THOUSAND free places on professional qualification courses to combat the lack of labor in Brazil!

Senai, in partnership with the Federal Government, is offering 200 free places on professional qualification courses. Want to boost your career and secure a job? This could be your chance! Several areas are covered, including technology, construction and automotive.

The Federal Government, in partnership with the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the National Service of Industrial Apprenticeship (Senai), recently closed a partnership aimed at offering 200 free places on professional qualification courses.

This initiative, formalized through a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT) signed on December 18, aims to address the growing shortage of skilled labor in the country and promote social inclusion through professional education.

The agreement, valid until 2027, covers a wide range of sectors, including food and beverages, automation and mechatronics, automotive, construction, electronics, energy, management, logistics, information technology, among others.

The courses, with a minimum workload of 160 hours, will be offered by Senai, recognized for its excellence in professional education.

Sectors covered

According to the Brazilian government, the diversity of areas served by the program reflects the intention to meet the specific demands of different segments of Brazilian industry.

The sectors covered include:

  • Food and drinks
  • Automation and mechatronics
  • Automotive
  • Construction
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Energy
  • Management
  • Logistics
  • Information Technology

This scope seeks to meet the qualification needs in strategic sectors for the country's economic development.

Initiative objectives

The main objective of the ACT is to increase the employability of Brazilian workers, guaranteeing decent work and expanding participation in processes that generate work and income opportunities.

Furthermore, the initiative aims to promote social inclusion, reduce poverty, combat discrimination and reduce the vulnerability of populations at risk.

Statements by authorities

During the signing ceremony, the Minister of Work and Employment, Luiz Marinho, highlighted the importance of professional qualification for insertion in the job market and for building a more promising future for young Brazilians.

“We need to create conditions so that young people leave high school prepared to face the challenges of the job market and make the transition to higher education, if they so wish,” said Marinho.

The president of CNI, Ricardo Alban, reinforced the role of work and occupation as instruments to reduce inequalities and weaken crime.

“We want social development to have inclusion. We want social development to have purchasing power, to have a market and, thus, make the wheel of the economy turn in a constructive and permanent way”, highlighted Alban.

National Industry Observatory

During the event, the National Industry Observatory was also presented, a database that aims to be the largest hub of information on the Brazilian industrial sector.

In partnership with the Federal Government, the Observatory will provide strategic intelligence for the entire industrial ecosystem, helping to identify global transformations and position Brazilian industry in relation to other countries.

Expected impact

The offer of these 200 free places on professional qualification courses represents a significant opportunity for workers seeking to improve their skills and increase their chances of entering the job market.

Furthermore, the initiative contributes to strengthening the national industry, meeting the demand for qualified labor and boosting the country's economic and social development.

How to Apply

Those interested in participating in the courses should pay attention to the information released by Senai and the Ministry of Work and Employment about registration procedures, prerequisites and deadlines.

The expectation is that registrations will open soon, allowing candidates to begin their qualification as soon as possible.

Do you believe that this initiative will be enough to meet the demand for qualified labor in Brazil and reduce unemployment in the coming years?

This site used to be really good, but now it's horrible. There are so many pop-up ads that you can't even read the articles. There are ad windows that don't even close and stay on top of the text... They're losing a lot of quality in the name of profit... It's a shame...

So I don't think so because the standards are demanding too much from employees and paying too little. I know a civil engineer. They want her to be very qualified with cars and they want to pay $1.800,00 and still with 2 years of experience. You need to see even these courses are good🤷

Just look at Boeing vacancies in SJC... an engineer who accepts R$1.800 is completely absurd, but depending on the place it will be like that, you have to think outside the box!!

There is no shortage of professionals, there is a lack of willingness to pay a decent salary to workers because paying for college was no joke, people try to find out the real situation, thanks
