What's so fascinating about Canada?
Canada is a country located in North America and is the second largest in the world in size. The country shares with the United States the longest border line on the planet, with almost 9 km. It has one of the lowest population densities in the world, with just 8,6 people on average occupying every square kilometer. And the inhabitants are mostly in the cities – leaving large rural areas largely untouched.
The country has diversity in its DNA: it had indigenous origins, was colonized by the French and British and, since independence, has also found in immigrants the strength that led it to become one of the richest nations in the world. With so much variety and an enormous concern for the quality of life, it is no coincidence that Canada is among the preferred destinations for Brazilian students, who have the privilege of immersing themselves in the multicultural richness of a country that is master in welcoming other peoples with open arms.

After all, we cannot forget that the essence of Canada is immigration. With its doors open to the world, Canadian culture absorbed elements from Franco-British colonization. Know that in Canada both English and French are spoken. You then have two language options to experience in the country. English is still more widely spoken than French. The accent of those who live in Canada and speak English is very similar to that of North Americans. Some rare words, however, refer to British English.
While Canada is often associated with snow and the wonderful winter sports this natural feature brings, the country's temperatures can vary just as much as its landscapes. The four Canadian seasons are well marked and, while it is possible to enjoy a summer with temperatures of up to 35 °C, winter can also be very rigorous − it all depends on the region. One of the most enjoyable seasons to experience in the country, regardless of the area, is spring. Autumn, on the other hand, is a dream for those who love to photograph: fallen leaves in infinite tones ranging from yellow to brown.
