The company explained to Auto+ that “the SRX version is still part of the Hilux portfolio, but now under the name SRX Plus. This update is part of the company's sales strategy. Versions available now include Chassis, Single Cab, STD Power Pack, SR, SRV, SRX Plus and GR-Sport.”

Therefore, Toyota discontinued the SRX to promote new SRX Plus. Essentially, the difference between the two versions is in the suspension system. The Hilux SRX Plus is distinguished by having wider tracks, with an increase of 14 cm at the front and 15,5 cm at the rear. The shock absorbers are also 3mm wider.

According to Toyota, this improved system absorbs impacts more effectively and the modified adjustment of the rear shock absorbers, now positioned external to the chassis, offers greater stability. The new version of the Hilux pickup also includes a stabilizer bar on the rear axle that increases lateral rigidity by 20%, optimizing cornering performance.
The ground clearance on the SRX Plus is higher compared to other versions, increasing by 2 cm. The angle of attack has been improved by 1 degree. It includes extended moldings in the vehicle color on the fenders and a spoiler from the GR-Sport version.
From the factory, the Toyota Hilux SRX Plus pickup truck is equipped with a frontal pre-collision system, lane change alert and adaptive cruise control (ACC). It has seven airbags, four-wheel disc brakes and a 360-degree camera. The 9-inch multimedia center includes USB, Bluetooth and wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Price difference from Hilux SRX and SRV to SRX plus
Offered in six colors (Polar White, Granite Gray, Mist Silver, Attitude Black, Volcano Red and Lunar White), the Toyota SRX Plus pickup truck is priced at R$334.890, an increase compared to the SRX's R$324.490. The price of the Hilux SRV for the SRX now has a difference of R$62.700. The truck maintains the 2.8 four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, producing 204 hp and 50,9 kgfm of torque, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction.
