Without infrastructure, Brazil is forced to reinject 50% of the natural gas it currently extracts from the pre-salt layer
The Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, said that the PPSA (Pre-Sal Petróleo SA) will begin the construction and transport of pre-salt natural gas to the Brazilian coast. The ultimate goal is to reduce Brazil's need to import raw materials for the production of inputs such as fertilizers.
At the end of the meeting of the CNPE (National Council for Energy Policy) on Friday (17), he announced that the Civil House is formulating a provisional measure to increase the supply of natural gas in the country; however, he did not specify the role of the State in this endeavor.

Pipeline construction opportunities are expected to increase thanks to the PPSA. The objective is not to let Brazil be a prisoner of the oil companies, both Petrobras and other national oil companies, declared the minister at the end of the launch of Neoenergia's Paraíba Renewable Complex, in Santa Luzia.
- In 1858, this man 'discovered oil', but he was not recognized and died in complete poverty.
- Petrobras gets a New Year's resolution in court and the fact alerts companies such as Vale, Americanas and others
- With the major discovery of 13 oil reservoirs, the country is preparing to enter the select group of African producing countries, with the potential to revolutionize its economy
- Petrobras is being sued and could lose billions after a decision that could lead to mass layoffs
President Lula participated in the event on the pre-salt
Although President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) was present at the event, he left without addressing the media.
As there is currently no gas infrastructure that can transport pre-salt gas to the Brazilian coast, about half of it must be reinjected.
About 25 billion cubic meters were reinjected in 2022, according to the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels). Even so, it was said at another event that the Brazil needs to license new exploratory frontiers because the pre-salt is running out this week.
In addition, the minister claimed to have invited Bruno Eustáquio, former executive secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, to be his chief of staff or parliamentary advisor. Even now, he didn't show any signs of a response.
