The Virtual University of the State of São Paulo (Univesp) just launched a portal offering 370 vacancies in more than 40 free online courses (EAD). This new website, called “Oportunidade Já”, offers training in various areas, from tourism and logistics to technology and soft skills development.

Created to serve students, college entrance exam candidates and anyone interested, the portal emerged from the collaboration between Univesp, private companies, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and public agencies. This partnership was planned to facilitate professional training and expand the offer of qualifications through online courses (EAD) completely free.

Collaboration with public and private bodies

Participating institutions publish their vacancies on the platform, allowing free access to training for a wide range of interested parties. Between July and September, companies and CSOs were able to register to offer courses on the portal, with a focus on improving employability and offering new professional qualifications.

In total, 11 public and private entities were selected to participate in the program. The Univesp portal also publishes vacancies and training courses in partnership with state agencies, such as the Department of Tourism (with the Valoriza São Paulo project) and the Department of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which offers introductory courses in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), among other initiatives.

Access to free courses on the Univesp website

To enroll in courses, the interested party can access the program website, which centralizes all information about courses and partner institutions. The content is offered in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), which has video classes, digital libraries, teaching materials and interactive forums so that students can engage directly with facilitators.
