The Brazilian automotive market saw a significant shift in its October 2025 sales rankings. By the 14th, the Volkswagen Tera had taken the lead among the country's best-selling vehicles, registering 4.170 units. The compact SUV outperformed established models and confirmed the automaker's strength in the segment.
Fierce dispute between the compacts
The gap between the top-ranked vehicles was small. The Fiat Argo came in second, with 4.128 units sold, while the Hyundai HB20 secured third place with 4.080.
Right behind, the Volkswagen Polo maintained its good performance and totaled 3.740 registrations.

Next came Hyundai Creta (3.553), Nissan Kicks (2.654), Chevrolet Tracker (2.594), Honda HR-V (2.506) and Toyota Corolla Cross (2.505), closing the top 10.

Among the intermediate positions, the Fiat Fastback (2.395) and the Jeep Compass (2.185) stand out, followed by the Chevrolet Onix Plus (2.065). The Caoa Chery Tiggo 7, with 1.836 units, and the Fiat Mobi, with 1.830, maintained a firm presence on the list.
Next come Hyundai HB20S (1.818), Volkswagen Virtus (1.808), Fiat Pulse (1.785), Volkswagen Nivus (1.741) and Jeep Renegade (1.701).
These numbers confirm that compact models and SUVs remain the favorites of Brazilian consumers.
Light commercial vehicles: absolute dominance of the Fiat Strada
In the light commercial vehicle segment, the Fiat Strada remains dominant. The model has achieved 6.672 registrations, maintaining a large lead over its competitors.
In second place was the Fiat Toro with 2.515 units, followed by the Volkswagen Saveiro, with 2.466.
The Toyota Hilux secured fourth place with 2.207 units sold, while the Chevrolet S10 closed the top 5 with 1.473.
Soon after came the Ford Ranger (1.151), Ram Rampage (1.097) and Chevrolet Montana (902).
Renault Master (847) and Fiat Fiorino (669) complete the top 10 in the segment, which continues to be dominated by medium and small pickups.
The data shows that, by mid-October, Volkswagen had achieved an important milestone with the Tera, while Fiat maintained its dominance in the work categories, balancing the dispute between the country's main automakers.
