Other changes were in the bumpers, redesigned headlights and wheels with a new design.
The seats and door linings received a new pattern, as did the instrument panel, which was remodeled. For the last year of production (2011) of the Chevrolet car, the change was limited to the 17-inch wheels, on-board computer and audio controls on the steering wheel for the GT.
What is the best version of the used Chevrolet Vectra?
With only a short time on the market, the Chevrolet Vectra Hatch is a somewhat forgotten model in the used car market. However, the Chevrolet car can be an interesting option for those looking for a well-equipped and reliable car.
For less than R$30, you can buy a 2008 model in the simplest version with manual transmission, and it already comes with dual airbags, digital air conditioning, and a portable navigation system as a bonus.
However, on the other hand, it is lacking in terms of consumption, achieving an average of 5,6 km/l in urban areas and 8,7 km/l on highways, fueled with ethanol. On the other hand, there is plenty of praise for its unique comfort and well-designed seats with velvet or leather finishes.
What to look for when buying a used Vectra?
Chevrolet cars cost less than R$30, but it is important to check some points when buying. A very common complaint about Chevrolet cars that deserves extra attention is related to cracks in the engine mounts, a problem that has persisted since the car was still new. The symptoms are constant vibrations and jolts.
The automatic digital air conditioning system of some Chevrolet Vectra Hatch units often presents inaccurate temperature defects. Also check the radio system and on-board computer, which often give reading errors.
For electric windows, test all switches and activate the alarm to check that they are working correctly. There are cases where the system may malfunction, causing the windows to open involuntarily. The problem is: according to GM technicians, would be in the faulty actuator.
In the case of the Multi Timer module for the fog lights, which is responsible for receiving the signal from the control, it can cause involuntary activation and, consequently, battery discharge. The solution is to replace it with a new module.
