Free specialization in professional and technological education
IFSC is offering 200 vacancies for the course of Lato Sensu Postgraduate Degree in Teaching in Professional and Technological Education.
This specialization aims to train professionals to work in teaching technical courses and other types of education, all through the format of Distance Learning (EAD), allowing you to study wherever you are.
According to Admission Notice No. 14/DEING/2024/2, the course aims to “contribute to integral human development, focusing on social emancipation and the sovereignty of Brazil”.
The training also aligns with ethical and critical values, promoting creative educational interventions that can transform the education scenario in the country.
What is the course like?
The course will be developed with asynchronous and synchronous online classes, allowing students to combine study with other activities.
In addition, there will be face-to-face meetings at the support centers of the Open University of Brazil (UAB), where the assessments will be carried out.
In-person meetings will take place on Tuesdays from 19 am - 22 pm, and there will also be online activities during the same period.
The total course workload is 360 hours, being 300 hours dedicated to the Curricular Units and 60 hours reserved for the completion of the Course Conclusion Work (TCC).
Os support poles are located in several cities in Santa Catarina: Criciúma, Itapema, Joinville, Lages, Sao Jose and Sao Miguel do West, which expands access for candidates from different regions of the state.
Who can apply?
The course is aimed at professionals with degrees in various areas who wish to work in Professional and Technological Education.
According to the IFSC, the main interested parties should be those who already work or wish to work in teaching secondary level technical courses, mainly in public networks.
It is important to highlight that there is no restriction on the undergraduate area. Bachelors and technologists from different fields of knowledge can apply.

In all, the IFSC offers 200 vacancies, distributed equally between the poles: Criciúma, Itapema, Joinville, Lages, Sao Jose and Sao Miguel do West with 40 vacancies available at each of these locations.

The selection of candidates will be carried out in a simple and transparent manner, through a public electronic draw, scheduled for the day September 24th, 2024, at 15:30 pm. The draw will be broadcast live on official IFSC channel on YouTube, providing greater credibility to the process.
The results of first call will be released on the day September 25th, 2024, starting at 18 pm, and approved candidates will have the period between September 26th and October 2nd to send the necessary documentation to complete the registration.
