Want to earn R$850 to take a professional training course? Petrobras, in partnership with renowned institutions, has released places on free courses in different areas of knowledge.

The city of Macaรฉ (RJ) is receiving 40 free places for professional training courses through the Autonomy and Income Program Petrobras. This initiative aims to provide educational development, in addition to offering financial assistance through scholarships for participants who are in conditions of economic and social vulnerability. The main purpose of the program is to increase employment opportunities and income generation in the region, promoting greater autonomy for beneficiaries.

The result of a partnership between Petrobras and the Fluminense Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFF), the inscriptions for this professional training project will be open from September 5 to 18, 2024.

Petrobras free courses

In Macaรฉ, 40 vacancies are offered in courses such as Miscellaneous Services Assistant, Electrotechnician, Welding Technician, Automation Technician, Industrial Painter, among others. The duration of the courses varies according to the area of โ€‹โ€‹specialization.

The focus of the Petrobras Autonomy and Income Program is to provide training for thousands of Brazilians who face economic and social vulnerability in various regions of the country. In-person classes for the Miscellaneous Services Assistant course are scheduled to begin on October 14, will last four months and will be taught in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday.

Benefits and Selection Process

Students selected for technical qualification courses will receive a monthly grant of R$660, while mothers with children up to 11 years old will be entitled to R$858. To participate, the candidate must be over 18 years old, live in Macaรฉ, have completed Elementary School I (from 1st to 5th grade) and be in a situation of economic vulnerability.

Priority groups include women, black and brown people, transgender people, indigenous people, quilombolas, refugees and people with disabilities.

Petrobras will offer 3.330 places on completely free technical and professional training courses in Rio de Janeiro

In total, the Petrobras Autonomy and Income Program will offer 3.330 vacancies in the state of Rio de Janeiro, covering cities such as Duque de Caxias, Niterรณi, Rio de Janeiro, Sรฃo Gonรงalo and Macaรฉ, and by 2027, 990 of these vacancies will be exclusively for Macaรฉ. In addition to the partnership with Federal Institutes, Petrobras also has the SENAI, which will offer vacancies in technical qualification courses. The keyword of the Petrobras Autonomy and Income Program is โ€œtrainingโ€, and, in collaboration with the IFSul Support Foundation (FAIFSul) and SESI-SENAI, the program seeks to expand job opportunities for residents of the areas where Petrobras operates.
