UNEB opens a selection process for 102 Substitute Teacher positions with salaries of up to R$4.044,82.

The State University of Bahia (UNEB) announced the opening of a new selection process, with the publication of the edict 105/2024. 102 vacancies for Substitute Professor positions will be filled, with opportunities in various areas of knowledge. Applications will close on October 03rd. The objective of this selection is to meet the demand of different Departments of the University, spread across several campuses.

Details of vacancies and areas of activity at UNEB

The vacancies offered in the selection process are intended for professionals with a degree and, necessarily, a postgraduate degree in the area of ​​activity.

The remuneration varies according to the workload, with the base salary being R$20 for 2.022,41 hours per week, while the value reaches R$40 for a workload of 4.044,82 hours per week.

Those approved will be able to work in disciplines such as Psychology, Social Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Social Nutrition, Pediatrics, Speech Therapy Sciences, Audiology, Data Science, Design, Digital Games, Literature (Spanish, French, Portuguese and English), Organic Chemistry, Sanitary and Environmental Biology, Social Communication, Bioprocess Engineering, Physical Education, History, Administration, among others.

In addition to salary, professors Those selected will be entitled to a Functional Incentive, according to their academic qualifications.

The percentage varies from 20% of the basic salary for those with a Specialization, 40% for those with a Master's degree and 60% for those with a Doctorate.

Stages of the UNEB selection process

The selection process to fill the 102 vacancies for Professor will be divided into three main stages.

The first of these is the Interview, in which the candidate's professional experience will be assessed, as well as their posture, confidence, commitment and ability to articulate ideas.

This phase aims to identify the candidate's level of knowledge and specific skills, essential for the role of Substitute Teacher.

The second stage will be the Public Class, where the candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their didactic and pedagogical knowledge, in addition to their ability to transmit the content of the chosen area of ​​activity.

This phase is crucial to verify the candidates' performance in the classroom, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to teach with quality.

Finally, the third and final stage will be the Title Test, which will consist of the evaluation of the academic certificates presented by the candidate, in addition to their scientific or technical production and professional experience.

This phase considers the academic training and the candidate's contribution to his/her area of ​​knowledge.

The sum of the scores obtained in each of these stages will determine the candidate's final classification. UNEB will publish the list of approved candidates on its official website after the results have been approved.

Validity and duration of the contract

For these vacancies, the contracts of approved Substitute Teachers will also have an initial duration of two years, with the possibility of renewal.

The hiring regime will follow the rules established by UNEB and the statute of public servants of the State of Bahia.
