With the ambitious goal of training 820 thousand students by 2025, the platform offers a series of free online courses, accessible to everyone.
According to the MEC, courses are offered in the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) format, which allows not only flexibility in schedules, but also the issuance of certificates for those who complete the activities.
Courses are structured to suit different levels and interests, with content ranging from exact sciences to languages.
In particular, the English course is divided into six modules, each focused on a specific topic, allowing the student to gradually progress in learning the language.
The classes of 2024 are now open for registration, and it is important to secure your spot as soon as possible, as demand is high.
What will the English course be like at MEC?
Each module of the English course is aimed at a specific area of the language:
- English 1 – Personal identification and characterization; location in time and space.
- English 2 – Means of transport; family; routine and habits at home.
- English 3 – Routine and habits; food and grocery list; clothing.
- English 4 – Climatic conditions; verbs in the present tense; sports and leisure; tastes and preferences; skills; parts of the house and furniture; modal verbs; possessive pronouns.
- English 5 – Restaurant, food and drinks; health, human body and diseases; places and leisure activities.
- English 6 – Adjectives; trips; review of previous modules.
In total, there are more than 180 hours of content, with the advantage that, upon completing each module, the student receives a free certificate, increasing their qualifications in the job market.
