Who would have thought that mastering another language without leaving home and without spending anything would be possible? Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA) made this a reality by opening up vacancies for free English, Spanish and Libras courses.

The Federal Institute, through notice nº 02/2024, is offering vacancies for Initial and Continuing Education Courses (FIC) on the Lauro de Freitas campus. These courses are aimed at different levels of knowledge, allowing students to progressively develop their skills in the chosen language.

Among the courses available, the following stand out:

Registration and selection process: what you need to know

Candidates will be selected based on specific criteria, such as socioeconomic status, performance in the placement test (when necessary) and order of registration.

In the case of courses that require prior knowledge, such as Basic English 2 and the Pre-Intermediate, candidates will have to take a placement test to determine their suitability for the course. In addition, in the event of a tie, other factors will be taken into account, such as age and the fact that the student is not enrolled in another IFBA language course.

Limited vacancies and market differential

As 315 vacancies distributed among all courses at the Federal Institute are limited, so it is important to pay attention to the registration deadlines and selection criteria.

Free courses and quality courses like these are a unique opportunity for those who want to stand out in the job market, especially in areas where mastery of a second language is essential.

Furthermore, learning a new language is also a way of personal growth, as it facilitates the understanding of other cultures and perspectives.

According to the IFBA, this is an opportunity for students to not only expand their vocabulary, but also to prepare for the professional demands of the modern world.

A transformative experience

As reported by many who have participated in similar programs, the language courses offered by IFBA have the potential to transform lives.

The chance to learn from qualified teachers, in an environment that promotes cultural interaction, is valuable for both your CV and personal growth.
