Details about the EAD specialization in deaf education
The National Institute of Education for the Deaf (INES) has just opened registration for its selection process, which offers a specialization in Education for the Deaf from a Bilingual Perspective, entirely remotely (EAD).
There are 150 vacancies distributed across 13 hubs in different regions of Brazil, scheduled to start in the first half of 2025.
According to INES, the course has a total workload of 400 hours, spread over 18 months.
The vacancies are intended for professionals with higher education in the areas of pedagogy, education, psychology, speech therapy, and other related areas.
Additionally, 50% of the vacancies are reserved for candidates deaf people, while the other 50% are for hearing people, a measure that promotes inclusion and equity in training.

Who can apply?
According to the notice, the target audience are professionals with a completed higher education level, with qualifications accepted in various areas, such as pedagogy, degrees, psychology, communication and others.
The objective is to prepare these professionals to work directly in the education of the deaf, using a bilingual perspective., which includes both Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and Portuguese.
Requirements for registration include:
- Have completed a higher education course at a higher education institution recognized in Brazil, in accordance with the Guidelines and Bases Law (Law No. 9.394/1996);
- Or, if you studied at a foreign institution, the diploma must be revalidated by a public institution in Brazil, following the rules of Art. 48 of the LDB.
How to register at INES
