The University of Pernambuco (UPE) and the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) launched joint notice No. 01/2024, offering 10 thousand vacancies for the Extension Course in Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education. With registrations open between October 23 and November 10, 2024, this opportunity is aimed at teachers and education professionals interested in improving their pedagogical practices for free.
O free online course (EAD)) has as its main objective to train basic education teachers to develop pedagogical practices aligned with the principles of Inclusive Education. The course, entirely online, will last three months and have a workload of 120 hours.
The content will be divided into four modules, covering topics related to special education and inclusion. The activities will be carried out through the Labtime platform, with the support of qualified tutors to guide participants.

Available vacancies and locations
5.000 places will be offered by UPE and another 5.000 by UFPE, totaling 10 opportunities. The free course will be offered online (EAD), but students residing in Pernambuco will have access to in-person support at the Open University of Brazil (UAB) centers, where they will be able to access the resources necessary to carry out academic activities.
Selection process
The selection of candidates will be carried out in the order in which they are received. inscriptions, until the vacancies are filled. Priority will be given to teachers from the public and private networks who work in the classroom or in Specialized Educational Services (AEE), as well as basic education professionals who are not in the classroom. Candidates residing in Pernambuco will have priority in the selection, followed by candidates from other locations.
Application requirements
Candidates must be teachers or professionals in basic education, with access to a computer and internet. If they do not have these resources, residents of Pernambuco may carry out the activities at UAB's in-person support centers. During registration, it is necessary to attach documents such as ID, CPF, proof of residence and course completion certificate.
Selection process schedule
Applications will be open from October 23 to November 10, 2024, with the preliminary result expected on November 18. Candidates will be able to file appeals on November 19 and 20, and the final result will be released on November 22, 2024.
