Want to sell your car quickly? See which vehicles are most sought after and increase your chances of closing a deal
The used car market in Brazil remains busy, and the figures for October 2024 are proof of this. According to data from National Federation of Motor Vehicle Dealers Associations (Fenauto), in the last month alone, 1.072.159 were sold vehicles, among used cars and light commercial vehicles. This represents significant growth, with an increase of 17,5% compared to the same period last year and 8,3% compared to September.
Used car sales growth in 2024
So far in 2024, used car sales in Brazil have already totaled 8.170.216 units. This number is much higher than that of new cars, which reached only 1.564.616 units between January and October, according to Fenabrave. This reflects a difference of 80,8% between the categories and reinforces the preference for used models in Brazil.
But what explains this significant difference? Some of the reasons include financial accessibility and the diversity of options in the used car market, which allows consumers to find vehicles in good condition, at more competitive prices and already depreciated.
