About Cederj
The Cederj Consortium, managed by the Cecierj Foundation and linked to the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, is one of the most important initiatives for access to quality higher education in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Founded with the goal of offering higher education at a distance, Cederj offers undergraduate and graduate courses in partnership with some of the best universities in the state, such as UFRJ, UERJ, UFF, CEFET/RJ and others. The semi-attendance modality allows students from different cities to have the opportunity to study excellent courses without having to travel daily.
Currently, Cederj has 43 centers spread across the state, offering an infrastructure complete for pedagogical support and in-person activities of blended learning courses. This facilitates access for students who live far from major centers and who often would not have the opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree at a public university. The provision of free courses and digital inclusion resources are examples of Cederj's commitment to education and regional development.
