For those who want to combine high school with technical training aimed at the job market in 2025, the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) opened registrations for its free integrated technical courses. In total, 1.760 vacancies are available in ten municipalities that are home to IFMS campuses: Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Corumbรก, Coxim, Dourados, Jardim, Naviraรญ, Nova Andradina, Ponta Porรฃ and Trรชs Lagoas. Classes will begin in the first half of 2025.
The notice includes 11 integrated technical coursess, all lasting three years. Options include: Administration, Agriculture, Livestock, Food, Systems Development, Buildings, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Internet Computing, Mechanics and Metallurgy.
Who can apply for free technical courses?
To register, the candidate must have completed the 9th year of elementary school by the enrollment date, scheduled for January 2025. It is also necessary for the candidate to have a Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) in his/her name.

Half of the vacancies offered are reserved for students who completed their entire elementary education in public schools. These vacancies are divided between candidates with a per capita family income of less than one minimum wage and those with any income bracket. Within these groups, there are also vacancies reserved for black, mixed-race, indigenous, quilombola and disabled people. All candidates will be ranked based on the scores obtained in the exam, which will determine the final selection order.

The exam will be held on October 20 in all cities where IFMS has campuses, and will last four hours. The test will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions, 10 of which will be on Portuguese, 10 on Mathematics and 10 on General Knowledge.

On the day of the test, candidates must present an official photo ID, as well as a blue or black ballpoint pen with a transparent tube, a pencil and an eraser. Small snacks and clear, unlabeled water bottles will also be permitted.

To register for free integrated technical courses at IFMS, Candidates must access the institution's official website, fill out the application form and pay the R$20 fee by September 27, using the options available via PagTesouro, such as Pix, credit card or bank slip. It is important that candidates are aware of the requirements, such as completion of the 9th grade of elementary school and the need to have their own CPF. After registering, it will be necessary to follow the next stages of the selection process and the test date.
