This increase signals a growing market demand by Toyota electric cars.
In comparison, Volkswagen, second in global sales, saw a significant increase in its electric range, from 1,4% to 8,3%, selling around 700.000 units and demonstrating the growing appetite for electric cars.

What about the Toyota bz4x?
The Toyota bz4x represents a historic milestone in Toyota's electrification journey, which began in 1997 with the Prius. It took Toyota 25 years to launch its first 100% electric vehicle, the bz4x, signaling a firm commitment to sustainability and technological innovation. This launch is not just about adding an electric car to Toyota's portfolio, but also about intentionally delaying entering the market in a profitable and strategic way.
The bz4x stands out for its modern design and advanced technologies. It offers a pure electric driving experience with a choice of a 150 kW (204 hp) motor or a more powerful configuration with two motors, totaling 218 hp. Toyota designed this vehicle with a focus on efficiency and performance, promising an innovative driving experience.
Equipped with a 71,4 kWh battery, the bz4x can be charged quickly and offers a respectable range that varies between 411 and 470 km, depending on configuration. This capability makes the bz4x a viable option for long journeys and daily use, reinforcing Toyota's position in the electric vehicle market.
