A labor shortage qualified continues to be a challenge for the port sector, and the railport is investing in professional training (free courses) to meet this demand. In partnership with the City of São João da Barra, the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (firjan) and the National Industrial Training Service (Senai), the company launches the 2025 edition of the program Port Generation. The program aims to prepare professionals to work in the areas of port maintenance and operations, offering free courses and hands-on learning opportunities. The vacancies are limited and registration is open until April 6, 2025.
Capacity building to reduce labor shortages
A railport offers a total of 45 vacancies for two different free courses, both carried out with the qualification of Firjan Senai. Opportunities are divided as follows:
Electromechanical Maintenance Techniques: 25 vacancies, primarily for women and black people living in São João da Barra and Campos dos Goytacazes. The course has a workload of 300 hours and requires technical training completed in the last two years in areas such as mechanics, electrical, electrical engineering or automation.

Port Equipment Operator: 20 vacancies, exclusively for women from São João da Barra, with completed high school education. This course lasts 252 hours and does not require prior experience.
