The Minas Gerais government is opening 40 vacancies for free technical courses at Trilhas de Futuro, expanding opportunities for young students.

The Government of Minas Gerais announced the opening of 40 thousand new vacancies for the fifth edition of the program Future Trails, with registrations available from September 10 to 23. Created in 2021 by the Minas Gerais State Department of Education (SEE/MG), the project aims to offer free technical courses to young people from Minas Gerais, in public and private institutions. In addition to training, students receive financial assistance for food and transportation, facilitating access to technical education. Since its creation, Trilhas de Futuro has become a national reference in professional education, promoting the qualification of thousands of students and contributing to the social and economic development of the state. 

Some courses offered by the government in Trilhas do Futuro

The Trilhas de Futuro program, from the Government of Minas Gerais, is offering 40 thousand places for courses free technical courses in various regions of the state. Courses are available in areas that are fundamental to professional development and include:

  • Logistics: Courses offered by Alfa Unipac in Santa Luzia and Jequitinhonha, with full-time and night-time options.
  • Oral Health: Available in Medina and Pedra Azul, through ITEP, with full-time and evening classes. The training includes essential practices for oral care.
  • Nursing: The course, lasting 24 months, is offered in Teófilo Otoni and Divinópolis, at the institutions Alfa Unipac and Escola Técnica Egídio José da Silva, with morning, afternoon and evening options.

In addition to these, the program includes Legal Services | Cayman, Internet Computing, CLOTHING, Hand Wrapps, and Elderly Care. Classes are offered in different shifts, allowing flexibility for students.

These opportunities aim to train young people and adults, promoting access to technical education and helping to meet the demand for qualified professionals in the regions served. Registration is open and the program stands out for its scope and social impact, contributing to the formation of a qualified workforce prepared for the job market.

What's new in the fifth edition of the government

The fifth edition of Trilhas de Futuro brings a significant expansion of the SCHEDULE. With 99 courses available, the project will reach 157 municipalities, allowing more students from different regions of Minas Gerais to have access to technical training.

Among the courses offered are areas such as Community Health Agent, Conservation and Restoration, Massage Therapy and Baking.

Compared to the previous edition, 25 new courses were incorporated, and 32 municipalities became part of the project. In addition, 28 municipalities are receiving accredited educational institutions for the first time, expanding access to Trilhas de Futuro.

The expansion demonstrates the Minas Gerais Government’s commitment to meeting the demands of the job market and offering qualification opportunities to more young people.

Another highlight of this edition is the inclusion of students in the 1st year of high school, as long as they present proof of enrollment in the 2nd year by the start of classes in 2025.

The result of the allocation of candidates will be announced on October 11th, and in-person registrations must be made between the 15th and 29th of the same month.

Registration drive and success stories

To ensure that as many people as possible students sign up for Trilhas de Futuro, SEE/MG, in partnership with the Regional Education Superintendencies (SREs), will hold a registration drive between September 16th and 18th.

During the event, booklets with information about available courses and the job market will be provided to high school and Youth and Adult Education (EJA) students.

The courses last from one to one and a half years and prepare students to quickly enter the job market.

Trilhas de Futuro has shown concrete results in the lives of its participants. Darli Felipe Alves, a building technician trained by the project, is an example of how professional qualifications can transform lives.

“I started the course by Trilhas while I was still in high school. Today, I have a degree and can work more confidently in the job market”, said Darli, who also participates in international vocational competitions.

Glenda Raissa, a student of the technical course in occupational safety at Trilhas, also shared her positive experience.

“Since I was awarded a place on the project, I have been learning a lot and preparing myself for a solid professional career,” she said.

In addition to taking the Trilhas course, Glenda is completing high school in Belo Horizonte, highlighting the flexibility of the program, which allows her to combine regular and technical studies.

Trilhas de Futuro continues to be a valuable opportunity for young people seeking technical qualifications and wishing to enter the job market with better conditions.
