Yamaha's new electric bicycle delivers up to 25 km/h and has 12 automatic gears that help the cyclist focus on pedaling.
Yamaha has teamed up with Swedish company Husqvarna to launch a new versatile electric bicycle capable of riding both in large cities and on rougher terrain. Yamaha's electric bicycle, which was named Grand Pather 2024, also has technology to keep the user focused on just pedaling.
New Yamaha electric bike reaches up to 25 km/h
A Grand Pather 2024 has been described as the most adaptable and innovative electric touring bike, ideal for both cycling to work and tackling complex terrain. Yamaha's new electric bicycle line has three versions, namely GP6, GP5 and GP4, each with a lower or taller frame, different cabling and customizable settings.
The first two versions have mYamaha PW-X3 engine with 85 Nm of torque and 720 Wh battery. The maximum speed is 25 km/h and has five levels of pedal assistance. It is also technological and comes with automatic mode, which allows users to concentrate on pedaling and not changing gears, in addition to 12 speeds.

The GP4 version has the PW-S2 engine with 75 Nm of torque and a 630 Wh battery, with 11 speeds. All versions of Yamaha's electric bike feature 28-inch or 29-inch wheels, with a customized tire for greater traction and grip. According to New Atlas, the GP6 version is still equipped with a hydraulic braking system. The models have LED headlights and rear lights, mudguards, accessories for securing equipment and even a child seat.
How much does Yamaha's new electric bike cost?
Yamaha's electric bicycle is scheduled to hit the market in the first quarter of this year and will begin selling for 3.999 euros, something around R$21,5 in direct conversion, without taking into account shipping to Brazil or any taxes.
