New Brazilian Honda WR-V promises to revolutionize the segment with style and surprising engine
After many rumors and sightings during testing, it is now official: The new second-generation Honda WR-V will be launched in Brazil. With significant growth in size and technology, the compact SUV comes to compete directly with models such as Fiat Pulse, Volkswagen Nivus and Chevrolet Tracker.
Built on a new, albeit simplified, platform compared to the City and HR-V, the honda wr-v offers a more modern and technological car than many competitors. It impresses with its size and dimensions., being close to its bigger brother HR-V. It is 4,32 meters long, 1,79 meters wide, 1,65 meters high and has a generous wheelbase of 2,65 meters. The trunk holds up to 311 liters.

In design, the Honda WR-V features a front with chrome grille, black piano frames and full LED headlights. The wheels can reach 17 inches, and the rear is reminiscent of the BR-V model, with LED lights.

Under the hood, the engine It is the well-known 1.5 four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with direct injection, capable of generating 126 horsepower and 15,8 kgfm of torque. Associated with a CVT automatic transmission, promises good performance and excellent fuel economy, reaching more than 16 km/l in the city.

Inside, the honda wr-v offers a functional interior, with space for five occupants thanks to the generous wheelbase. Equipment such as digital air conditioning, electric rearview mirrors, multifunctional steering wheel and 8-inch multimedia center with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are present.
In terms of safety, it has traction and stability controls, six airbags and, in the top-of-the-line versions, collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and the LaneWatch system, which displays the blind spot on the multimedia system through a camera in the right-hand rearview mirror.

The new Honda WR-V will be manufactured in Brazil, in the interior of São Paulo, which should contribute to more competitive prices. The launch is scheduled for the second half of 2024, with estimated prices between R$ 110 thousand and R$ 150 thousand, positioning itself below the HR-V.
