Talaria's Sting MX5 Pro combines motorcycle-like design, performance and price, while still being an electric bike
Electric bikes are evolving rapidly, to the point where some already resemble motorcycles both in design and performance. An example of this is the Sting MX5 Pro, an off-road electric bike from the Talaria brand, which surprises with its powerful engine, robust structure and price comparable to that of a motorcycle. The model is designed for challenging terrain and is now available for purchase, according to the Olhar Digital website.
Bicycle or motorcycle? The difference is in the details
Although the Sting MX5 Pro have an appearance that resembles a motorcycle, it is officially classified as an electric bike. This distinction allows the model to be driven without the need for a license, which attracts many enthusiasts. But the power it offers is worth noting:
- 5,5 kW central motor, with peaks of up to 13,44 kW, and an impressive torque of 500 Nm;
- Top speed is limited to 32 km/h for use in urban areas, but can be unlocked to reach up to 80 km/h for off-road adventures;
- It has three driving modes and four adjustable braking levels, which provide a personalized experience depending on the terrain and driving style.
Autonomy and high-performance battery
The Sting MX5 Pro comes equipped with a 72V battery, made up of Samsung 21700 cells, which provide a range of up to 100 km at moderate speeds of 25 km/h. The autonomy decreases as the speed increases, especially on uneven terrain, but the e-bike still remains efficient and reliable for long journeys.

Robust structure and innovative design
The design of the Sting MX5 Pro is another point that sets it apart from traditional bikes. Instead of conventional pedals, the model uses non-slip BMX-style pedals, which reflects its more aggressive and off-road-focused proposal. The frame is made of 6061 T4/T6 aluminum alloy, a combination with magnesium and silicon that guarantees high corrosion resistance and flexibility, ideal for withstanding the wear and tear of trails and difficult terrain.
Additionally, the model includes:
- Comfortable 84cm seat, perfect for long adventures;
- Adjustable frame and 19-inch wheels;
- High-precision hydraulic brakes and rear shock absorber to absorb impacts;
- Integrated LED headlight, ensuring safety in low visibility conditions.
Bike price, bike performance
If the performance and design of the Sting MX5 Pro already impress, the price also follows this trend, closer to the value of a motorcycle than a conventional electric bicycle. Talaria has put the model on sale for US$4.700 (around R$26.500), a value that reflects both its advanced technology and its proposal aimed at the off-road public.
The model is already available in China and sales have recently expanded to the United States and Hawaii. The bike is currently listed as unavailable on the Luna Cycle store, but its high demand is a clear indication of its success in the market.
