For the first time, the company will have its own stand and will present its innovations at the event
Rio de Janeiro, September 20th – Açu Petróleo, a partnership between Prumo Logística and the German Oiltanking, will be present at Rio Oil&Gas 2018, the largest oil and gas event in Latin America, which will take place from September 24 to 27, in Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro. For the first time at the event, the company will receive visitors to the fair at Pavilion 4, stand i-43.
In the space, through interactive and audiovisual tools, visitors will be able to browse and learn about the details of the Açu Petróleo (T-OIL) terminal, located in Porto do Açu, in the north of the state (RJ), and which is the only private sector in the country with the capacity to receive VLCCs, which have a storage capacity of up to 2 million barrels of crude oil. In addition, visitors will also get to know the tanking projects for oil storage, planned for the coming years.

“We concluded the 50th ship-to-ship operation in August, which represents a milestone for the company. In just two years of operation, we moved 50 million barrels of oil. We are licensed to handle up to 1,2 million barrels of oil per day. So, the expectation is that with the resumption of the O&G industry, our demand will grow even more. We want to be recognized as the best oil handling logistics solution in Brazil,” said Açu Petróleo CEO, Victor Bonfim.
In operation since 2016 and with a privileged location in relation to the main offshore producing basins, T-OIL has the capacity to simultaneously carry out three oil transshipment operations between ships (ship-to-ship). To carry out the T-OIL dredging works and increase the nominal depth of the terminal to 25 meters, R$ 400 million were invested last year. The first operation with the large vessel took place in May of this year and, until then, the terminal has already operated 5 VLCC vessels.
One of T-OIL's main differentials is that the transhipment operation is carried out in an area sheltered by a breakwater, enabling a fast and safe operation, with efficiency and a reduction in the final cost for customers, in all seasons of the year.
