Good news for the city of Macaé! Açu Petróleo informed yesterday (09/03), in a fact relevant to the market, that it signed a Prior Agreement with Petrobras and Transpetro for the interconnection of its Oil Terminal, located in Porto do Açu, to Petrobras' Cabiúnas Terminal, in Macaé -RJ.

According to the announcement, the agreement consists of detailing the basic requirements and technical engineering studies for the future interconnection between the Terminals.
The interconnection between the terminals is part of the Spot Project and is included in the company's business expansion plan, which will make it possible to use the Açu Petróleo Terminal to supply the Reduc and Regap refineries.

The Spot Project is at an advanced stage of development and licensing, and provides for the construction of 12 oil tanks with a total capacity of 5,7M bbl and two oil pipelines.
In addition to being strategic for supplying refineries, Açu Petróleo informs that the Spot Project will provide greater operational flexibility and efficiency for importing and exporting oil.

At the end of last year, Siemens won a huge order for the construction of the GNA II Thermoelectric Power Plant, in Porto do Açu; the largest LNG complex in Latin America will supply energy to 14 million homes!
In November last year, Siemens Energy won a contract for the construction of the GNA II Thermoelectric Plant, located in Porto do Açu, in the state of Rio de Janeiro – the largest LNG complex in Latin America. UTE GNA II will be the second combined cycle power plant that Siemens Energy will build under a turnkey in the thermoelectric pole, with an installed capacity of 1,7 gigawatt (GW).
The plant is being built jointly with the consortium partner Andrade Gutierrez, which will provide infrastructure and assembly for the civil works.
