A milestone in wind generation in Rio Grande do Norte
Aliança Energia celebrates a notable achievement in the expansion of renewable energy in Brazil, with the completion of the assembly of wind turbines at the Acauã Wind Complex, located in Rio Grande do Norte. This event, which took place on January 11th, not only marks the completion of this critical phase of the project but also symbolizes the commitment of the company with operational safety and environmental preservation, as the process was carried out without incidents or negative impacts on the environment.
The Acauã Wind Complex stands out in the region, covering an installed capacity of 109,2 MW, distributed across 26 wind turbines. These are organized into four wind farms strategically located in Santana do Matos, Lagoa Nova, São Vicente and Tenente Laurentino Cruz, divided into three Specific Purpose Societies (SPEs). The project, which began in 2021, progressed in a phased manner, culminating in the commercial operation of two SPEs in 2023, and now, the complete assembly of the SPE I wind turbines.
The energy alliance’s commitment to sustainability
In addition to the relevant contribution to the country's renewable energy matrix, the completion of this stage of the Acauã Wind Complex signals Aliança Energia's continued dedication to sustainability and safety. As highlighted by Carlos Henrique Afonso, Administrative Director of Acauã and Implementation Manager, the company goes to great lengths to ensure operational integrity and respect for the environment. This care is reflected not only in construction and assembly practices, but also in the total investment of R$ 732 million allocated to the complex, reaffirming the company's commitment to projects sustainable and efficient.
