The resumption of Enauta's oil production in the Atlanta Field, in the Santos Basin, occurred successfully after the reinstallation of the subsea module in well #5.
Last Wednesday (7), Enauta informed the market of the resumption of production of oil in the Atlanta field, in the Santos Basin, after a four-month break due to technical problems, as reported by Petronoticias. The restart, marked by the reinstallation of the subsea module in well #5, aims to maintain stable production of approximately 12 thousand barrels per day. The company is progressing as planned, with FPSO Atlanta reaching 85% development in Phase 1 and first oil scheduled for August 2024, according to the environmental license.
Technical problems with electrical connectors have been overcome
Production was interrupted due to technical problems with the electrical connectors of the pumps on the Atlanta platform.
The solution came with reinstalling the module submarine pumping in well #5, allowing production to restart.

However, the initial production capacity will be approximately 12 thousand barrels per day (bbl/d), below the peak of over 15 thousand bbl/d, due to the limitations of the Pilot Platform (FPSO Petrojarl I).
Enauta's plans for the coming months
Production from the other two wells is scheduled for the next 30 and 60 days, respectively.
In October, the FPSO Atlanta (Definitive Platform) reached a significant milestone, completing its second dry docking and painting, reaching 85% in Phase 1 development.
Several final items were contracted to support the start of production, including support vessels for anchoring the platform on the lease.
As provided for in the environmental license, the platform will go to the Atlanta location directly from the United Arab Emirates after commissioning.
First oil from FPSO Atlanta is scheduled for August 2024, in line with the schedule established by the company.
The resumption of production represents a significant advance for Enauta, consolidating its position in the oil and gas sector in the Santos Basin.
