The start of sales of Shell's new V-Power gasoline in Brazil is scheduled for November 1st and should not generate price fluctuations other than what already occurs in the market.
After 5 years of extensive research, specialists in fuels from the powerful Shell, one of the largest oil, petrochemical and solar energy companies in the world, modified the formula of V-Power gasoline, which received a new package of additives. A The company is also preparing developments for diesel and ethanol offered at service stations. These changes will be announced gradually between the end of this year and the first half of 2023.
The new and exclusive Shell V-Power has the most modern package of fuel additives, which restore the vehicle's performance and clean up to 100% of accumulated residues in the internal parts of the combustion engine.
And it doesn't stop there, periodically filling up with the new gasoline also enables fuel savings, reduces combustion engine wear over the car's useful life and reduces CO2 emissions from the vehicle's exhaust system.

“The new Shell V-Power gasoline brings the INFINITY technology, which delivers even more performance and yield, promoting rejuvenation in engine performance and providing a more efficient fuel burn", explains Gilberto Pose, Raízen fuel specialist, licensee of the Shell brand.
Price difference between regular gasoline and V-Power will be maintained
The new fuel, which is scheduled to go on sale on November 1st, is indicated for all types of vehicles, from those powered by combustion engines to gasoline, such as flex-fuel cars and also those with low or high power.
According to Pose, the price difference between regular gasoline and V-Power will be maintained, and the new additivation should not generate price oscillation beyond what already occurs in the market.
According to Shell, the brand's new additives were developed with the same technology used by Scuderia Ferrari, a partner of the company for 75 years and one of the greatest references in demand and quality in the automotive segment worldwide. The product is also the only fuel in the category recommended by BMW and Ducati.
Vibra Energia, Shell's competitor, also launched versions of Petrobras' Grid and Podium gasolines
Shell's strategy is similar to that adopted by Vibra Energia in February, when updated versions of Petrobras' Grid and Podium gasolines were launched.
In common, competing companies say that the cleaning power of their additive fuels removes practically 100% of the dirt that can accumulate in the combustion engine.
The concern with the scale formation in combustion engines is mainly due to electronic systems for managing emissions - which, in many cases, are associated with direct gasoline injection and turbocharging.
Volkswagen boss announces closure of production of gasoline and diesel combustion engines
The multinational Audi, belonging to the Volkswagen Group, had already announced recently that it would not develop any more combustion engines and that the automaker's focus will be on the manufacture of electric cars. Now, the German herself has joined the idea and the brand's boss announced, in May 2021, the end of the development and manufacture of this type of thrusterwhether petrol or diesel.
According to information from the Ralf Brandstatter, Volkswagen CEO, in an interview with Automobilwoche, the German automaker will only continue to update and revise the current gasoline and diesel combustion engines in order to make them more efficient. The reason for this measure is that the multinational will invest heavily in the manufacture and production of electric cars.
The executive did not say how long we will consider gasoline and diesel engines in Volkswagen cars, but what everything indicates is that they should remain for the next 10 years
