The price of a liter of gasoline in Ceará rose again for the fifth consecutive week. Days after Petrobras announced an increase in gasoline prices, the northeastern state continues to have the highest price in Brazil.
According to a survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), carried out between the 22nd and 28th of January, the price of gasoline in Ceará rose by R$ 0,04 compared to the previous week. After Petrobras announced the increase in gasoline prices, the value it continued to be the highest in all of Brazil, a target of concern for citizens.
Gasoline price in Ceará exceeds the values of the whole country. Even in small towns, the numbers draw attention
Currently, the average value of a liter of gasoline in Ceará is R$ 5,56, already considering the increase indicated in the ANP survey.
Monitoring has been carried out weekly and it is possible to see, according to the data collected, that it has been five weeks in which the value continues to rise and highlighting the CE in a worrying way.

To arrive at the current results, the ANP conducts a rigorous survey of prices at gas stations in the state and, based on that, plots an average.
124 locations in Ceará and nine different municipalities were analyzed, including small towns and the great capital, Fortaleza, until reaching the value of R$ 5,56.
Throughout the survey, the agency also highlighted the maximum and minimum found in the gas stations.
The cheapest liter of gasoline in Ceará was registered in Sobral, costing R$5,09, while the highest value in the state was located in Fortaleza, for R$5,88, which makes sense due to the high flow of tourists and the possibility of earning more, thanks to moving around the capital.
Despite the constant variation in the value of common gasoline, the price of gasoline with additives is somewhat stable when compared to the previous week.
The survey was carried out in 103 different locations, throughout the entire state, and the calculated average was R$ 5,70. The minimum value found was the same as that of regular gasoline, R$ 5,09, and the maximum reached R$ 6,29.
Average value of a liter of gasoline in Ceará exceeds the average resale price in Brazil
Petrobras announced that the price of common gasoline would increase by R$ 0,23, consequently affecting distributors and the end customer.
However, despite the news, the average resale value of the fuel decreased a little if we consider the previous average.
The oscillation was R$ 0,01, that is, it went from R$ 4,98 to R$ 4,97.
Despite the minimal decrease, it is important to consider that the decrease happened even in a context of increased transfers to distributors, something announced by Petrobras itself.
It is an indication that, in stable situations, the value may continue to drop progressively, which also depends on other factors.
During the national analysis, the minimum and maximum prices were very different: the cheapest liter of gasoline reached R$ 4,09, while the most expensive was R$ 6,99, a striking difference, but which resulted in a considerable average.
Thanks to this, the ANP remains attentive to the next announcements by Petrobras to analyze how the next variations in the price of gasoline will affect the average price in Brazil and, consequently, the specific costs along Ceará. From small towns to the capital, the high average continues to attract attention.
