A partnership between Brazil and China was made to test more than 30 agricultural machines, promising to increase productivity and transform family farming. The project aims to evaluate the efficiency of the equipment in different soils and production systems, with the expectation of future local production.

China is on the verge of transforming agriculture in Brazil with a revolutionary initiative that promises to improve productivity in several regions of the country. But what's really behind this unexpected partnership?

Apodi, a small town in Rio Grande do Norte, will become the stage for an agricultural experiment that could change the future of family farming in Brazil.

According to the information, Brazil and China signed an agreement to test 31 Chinese agricultural machines on different types of soil and production systems in the Northeast.

This project is part of the Demonstration Unit Brazil-China Agricultural Development Cooperation, an initiative aimed at increasing the efficiency of family farming properties.

The objective of the tests in Brazil

Evaluate the adaptation and efficiency of these machines in Brazilian lands. The agreement between Brazilians and the Agricultural University of China provides for a period of testing in which the machinery will be evaluated in settlements in the MST, cooperatives and family farming units. The goal is to identify which equipment can be integrated into daily national production.

Of the 31 machines tested, 11 will be delivered to the MST in Rio Grande do Norte, and the rest will be distributed to Ceará, Maranhão and Paraíba. The objective is to test the performance of the machines in different types of soil and production systems. If the experiment is successful, China could start producing this equipment in Brazil.

Do you believe that companies from China will be able to compete in Brazil with famous companies such as New Holland, John Deere, Valtra and others? Share your opinion in the comments!

Yes, testing any machine is very welcome for improvements in the sector. The only strange thing is that these tests are carried out by the MST and not by rural producers, since the MST, as everyone knows, is a political movement that only promotes conflicts in the countryside and adopts an agrarian reform that does not work. Many settlements in Brazil are considered rural slums that do not produce the livelihood of the people living there.

I am not affiliated with any political party, much less the MST, I am a rural producer, and I ask you to inform yourself better about the MST before posting nonsense.

It should be possible for a Bolsonaro supporter to test it on the grass plantation, their main food.

That's great. Only then will we (family farmers) be able to improve our production.

All mechanized agriculture initiatives are valid, the government should kick-start them, but it should not be endlessly paternalistic.
