One of the biggest groups in the Brazilian soybean industry is about to enter the biodiesel market. AMAGGI is building its first factory in the city of Lucas do Rio Verde, in the state of Mato Grosso, where the group already has an industrial complex for crushing soybeans. Announced in 2018, the works on the industrial plant began in October 2020 in yet another leap in the sustainable evolution of the state's agroindustry. Strategic location and more details of the biodiesel plant in Mato Grosso
The location of the new biodiesel plant could not be more favorable, as the city of Lucas do Rio Verde is located in one of the main agricultural production regions of Mato Grosso and is where the grain crushing industry has been located for over 10 years. by AMAGGI. It is precisely in this industrial complex that more than 26 m2 of built area are being built for the new biodiesel processing plant.
This new biodiesel plant will have an estimated annual capacity of 300 tons and will already have the supply of soybean oil from the existing crushing industry in the complex, with a processing capacity of around 1,2 million tons of grains per year. This entire volume of biodiesel can be sold and transported to distribution bases in Mato Grosso or other states, in order to be mixed with diesel of mineral origin.

In addition to the unit in Mato Grosso, the company announces the construction of a new fertilizer mixing plant in Porto Velho
The fertilizer mixing plant to be built at the Portochuelo terminal, on the banks of the Madeira River with investments of R$ 102 million, by AMAGGI and expected to be completed within a year, should be the second unit of this nature in the region with potential to produce 200 tons/year, with the simultaneous construction of a rear warehouse with static capacity to store 40 tons to serve rural producers in Rondônia, Acre, Amazonas and northwest Mato Grosso. The first mixed factory unit was built in Comodoro in (MT), 100 kilometers from Vilhena.
The construction of the factory in Porto Velho was made possible by grain exports via the Madeira-Amazonas river waterway and by imports of raw materials via Itacoatiara. The Secretary of Agriculture, Evandro Padovani, who received the statement, together with Governor Marcos Rocha from the Executive President of AMAGGI, Judiney Carvalho, points out that the fertilizer factory that will be implemented will encourage farmers in the region who will have access to a product of quality.
