Andrade Gutierrez predicts new business with the MERCOSUR-EU agreement
Andrade Gutierrez Engenharia, after having hit bottom, turns around and plans to close the year with R$ 4,5 billion, triple the amount recorded last year.
After Lava Jato, the company implemented a profound restructuring program with the compliance program, now recognized by the market as the most robust, in addition to a series of changes in the company's management. In parallel, they also invested in operational excellence and innovation.
With these measures, the company was able to create more competitive processes, and as a result of this new attitude, they are being recognized in a different way, winning more and more contracts.
Last year, the company had a large part of its revenues coming from works carried out abroad, such as in Africa and the Middle East.
Today, Andrade Gutierrez operates in Europe through Zegope Engenharia, headquartered in Portugal. The president of the Andrade Gutierrez Group, Ricardo Sena, believes that the agreement between the EUROPEAN UNION and MERCOSUR should facilitate the exchange of technology and enable a more integrated operation between companies on both continents.
“With regard to the South American and Brazilian market, we also believe that we are well positioned in relation to our competitors and we will continue with our plan to gain market share in the countries where we already operate”, added the executive.
