EDF Energias Renováveis do Brasil is authorized to commission a wind power plant in the municipality of Campo Formoso, Bahia
This Tuesday (21), the Official Gazette published the approval of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) for the company EDF Energias Renováveis do Brasil to start commissioning the wind power plant Ventos de São Januário 14, in the municipality of Campo Formoso, Bahia.

The plant is located in the city of Campo Formoso, in Bahia. The commercial operation of the wind farm will start after the successful completion of the testing phase, with a total of 21 MW of installed capacity.

In the month of May, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) authorized the purchase of five wind energy assets under development in the state of Paraíba, which were in charge of the company PEC Energia, of the Engeform Group, by the French multinational EDF.
The French group EDF highlighted, as a strategic and economic justification, that the operation reflects an opportunity to increase its performance and energy generation capacity in Brazil through renewable sources, such as wind energy.
Wind energy park in RN receives BNDES financing approval of R$ 208 million
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved financing for the special purpose company (SPE) Ventos de Santa Sofia Energias Renováveis for the implementation of the Ventos de Santa Martina 14 wind energy park, located in Rio Grande do Norte.
The wind energy park is part of the Casa dos Ventos group and is one of eight located in the Rio do Vento Wind Complex, currently under construction, with 504 megawatts of total installed capacity.
