President of Transpetro spoke, at the Rio Pipeline fair, of the company's investments to combat gas pipeline thefts
During the opening ceremony of Rio Pipeline 2019, the largest fair in the pipeline segment in Brazil, the president of Transpetro (Petrobras' logistics arm), Antonio Rubens Silvino, spoke about the changes that the subsidiary will undergo with the sale of refineries and terminals.
The company's president also spoke about the strategy of being a leader in transport and logistics, focusing on oil, derivatives, biofuels and natural gas in Brazil, being competitive and profitable.
“We are very confident and optimistic about the scenario for the oil and gas market in Brazil. The regulatory environment will guarantee the necessary means for full competition, with an isonomic environment for all stakeholders involved”, declared the company's president.

Rio Pipeline 2019 started today (3rd) at the SulAmérica Convention Center, in Rio de Janeiro and runs until September 05th.
Pipeline protection
At a time when there is a lot of talk about fuel theft in Petrobras pipelines, Silvino also spoke about investments in this security segment.
The declared investments in the Rio PipeLine will be around R$ 1,2 billion over the next five years and will be based on the implementation of the Integrated Pipeline Protection program, Pró-Dutos, which aims to reduce the occurrence of thefts in gas pipelines by 75%. .
Still during the Rio Pipeline the president of transpetro stated that there has already been a significant reduction of about 30% in cases of theft, but this is not yet definitive.
Silvino also highlighted the increase in cases of complaints through channel 168 and that the population's awareness has increased and helped in this regard.
