The NavalShore 2022 fair, held between the 16th and 18th of August, had the participation of several major players in the Latin American naval market and a series of new agreements signed between them.
The companies Norsul and Atlântico Sul were present at the event and took another step towards strengthening the relationship between them, signing a contract for docking services at the shipyard's facilities, aiming at improving the logistics of operations.

The Norsul company currently has a fleet of 21 ships, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and offices in Santa Catarina and Espírito Santo, carrying out a series of cargo transport operations such as bauxite, cellulose and steel.
And, with the new contract signed with Atlântico Sul, the executive manager of Fleets at Norsul, Leonardo Brum, says that the second contract with the company could further boost the Brazilian shipbuilding industry with the generation of new jobs and economic development.
The executive pointed out that the docking services at the shipyard's facilities will allow for a considerable logistical improvement for ship handling operations. This happens because now, it will be possible to carry out a transfer in just three days of navigation, in the case of vessels departing from the North and Northeast.
In this way, the reduction of operating time not only guarantees lower costs in the business, but also minimizes environmental impacts by reducing fuel consumption. Thus, the agreement between Atlântico Sul and Norsul will also be essential for greater sustainability in activities.
Atlântico Sul now focuses on the ship docking business and celebrates the partnership with Norsul for improvements in navigation logistics
Atlântico Sul started working in the repair segment in October 2020, and, in this short period, it has already consolidated itself in the market, securing a series of highly relevant clients in the Brazilian naval sector.
However, a very positive problem that the company currently faces is the excess of demand compared to the capacity of operations. In this way, the company invests in expanding its production capacity to ensure an even greater presence in the domestic market.
Thus, the CEO of Atlântico Sul Heavy Industry Solutions, Nicole Terpins, highlighted: “We know Norsul's level of demand in terms of quality and speed and we are very pleased to see the company returning to do the second dockage at the shipyard. I often say that we remain in a constant process of learning and consequent continuous improvement. Having Norsul as our client again does not represent just a new project, but the chance for us to do more and better.”
The company and Norsul will now unite to develop the best ship docking services and intend to boost the Brazilian port and naval segment over the next few months, focusing on logistics and cost reduction.
