Discover how Telo Trucks is redefining the concept of an electric pickup truck with solar panels, combining innovation, sustainability and efficiency

A Telo Trucks is about to transform the automotive sector with its new electric pickup MT1, equipped with painéis solares developed in partnership with Aptera, a company specializing in solar vehicles, according to the website notíciasautomotivas.

This collaboration brings an innovative solution that allows charging on the go, increasing autonomy even in remote locations and off the electricity grid.

Efficiency and sustainability in a compact pickup truck

A MT1 body is designed to be the electric pickup truck most efficient in the world, thanks to the integration of painéis solares on the roof and in the bucket.

Under ideal conditions, these panels can generate up to 200 watts of power, providing approximately 10 additional km of autonomy per day.

While charging completely via solar power can be slow, this functionality is extremely convenient for keeping accessories and devices operational during camping or off-grid adventures.

Powerful performance and compact design

Despite its compact size, 3,86 meters long, MT1 body does not compromise performance. With a bucket of 1,50 meters, the truck can accommodate up to eight passengers depending on the configuration.

Equipped with two engines that generate 500 horsepower, the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 200 km/h.

the battery of 106 kWh offers an autonomy of 560 km, and the fast charging system allows you to add 336 km in just 20 minutes.

Availability and market potential

The starting price of MT1 body is de US$ 49.999, excluding the painéis solares. Local sales are expected to begin in 2025, with reservations already open since 2023.

Telo Trucks CEO, Jason Marks, emphasized that the truck was designed to offer a combination of sustainability and efficiency, without sacrificing performance.

A revolution in the electric pickup truck market

A MT1 body has the potential to become a milestone in the electric vehicle market, especially for those looking for a solution that combines functionality, compactness and sustainability.

The model's versatility meets a variety of needs, from urban transportation to outdoor adventures and commercial use.

This electric pickup truck represents a significant step towards the future of sustainable vehicles, standing out as a viable option for conscious and innovative consumers.

It's really incredible, it should be a common everyday car, even with a smaller capacity! For the vast majority, there are only 3 to 5 generations in the future 😁
