Quinto Energy's declaration took place on Friday (19), during the prestigious Bahia-China Forum, an event focused on cooperation in studies, projects and business.
Bahia is in the process of establishing itself as the world's giant in the production of green fuels. Rafael Cavalcanti, CEO of Quinto Energy, proclaims Bahia as the most promising land for the global energy industry, due to its unique potentials. It is worth remembering that even the Ceará already has a fertilizer factory powered by Green Hydrogen scheduled for construction in 2024.
The pronouncement was made on Friday (19), at the Bahia-China Forum for Cooperation in Studies, Projects and Business. The event, organized by the state government, was attended by representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of China and large Chinese companies in the energy sector, such as CGN, BYD and Petrochina.

With Optimism, Quinto Energy Visualizes the Future Through Green Fuels in Bahia
Quinto Energy envisions a future where Bahia moves beyond debates about the viability of green hydrogen and enters the era of producing H2V derivatives. “Our strategic location offers ideal conditions for generating renewable energy.
Bahia already has adequate infrastructure, with ports for transporting chemicals and a petrochemical complex considered the largest Interconnected Industrial Complex in the Southern Hemisphere. The government is committed to guaranteeing legal security for the sector's undertakings.
And, most importantly, wind, solar and green hydrogen projects are advancing rapidly,” explained Rafael.
The Driving Event of Commercial Opportunities
The event served as a platform for strengthen trade relations with China, with investors showing interest in several productive sectors of the state of Bahia.
In the energy sector, Quinto Energy's projects stood out as a model of the progress that Bahia has made. The company is in an advanced stage of development of five hybrid complexes for wind and solar energy generation, with a total installed capacity of 14 GW.
The Convergence of Potential for Bahia
The CEO of Quinto Energy highlighted Bahia's ability to become the main producer of green fuels derived from hydrogen, such as SAF, e-diesel, e-gasoline, in addition to urea used as a green fertilizer in agribusiness. All this shows that Bahia is paving the way to become a major player in the global production of green fuels.
