Baker Hughes has just closed a new contract with Petrobras to supply various subsea equipment for the Campos Basin
The oil industry services company Baker Hughes signed a new contract with Petrobras. The company will supply subsea equipment to Marlim and Voador, in the Campos Basin, as part of the revitalization plan for the area.

According to the contract, Baker Hughes will supply Petrobras' Campos Basin with up to five systems manifolds of subsea production and injection, in addition to supplying 32 subsea control modules known as modpods.
The multinational's contract includes a global team of specialists in the supply of subsea control modules, subsea connection systems, manifolds subsea production and injection systems, and field installation support.

Os manifolds will be assembled, manufactured and tested in Jandira (SP), at the Baker Hughes Center of Excellence facilities. already the equipment modpods will be based on SemStar5 technology, which is manufactured at Baker Hughes' facilities in Nailsea, Bristol, UK.

According to Adyr Tourinho, vice president of Oilfield Equipment for Latin America at Baker Hughes, the new contract with Petrobras to supply equipment in the Campos Basin is the result of the company's multi-year commitment to Petrobras and builds on its history of supplying and subsea production systems for projects in Brazil.
Baker Hughes technology was designed to be light and compact to withstand the most demanding conditions found in Brazilian water environments, as would be the case in the Campos Basin. The executive vice-president of Equipment for Oil Fields at the company, Neil Saunders, also spoke in celebration of the contract with Petrobras on the Campos Basin.
He says the company is capable of providing world-class subsea solutions, having the experience and skills to bring flexibility, versatility and scalability to complex projects. The company is proud to partner in the revitalization of Marlim and Voador and will offer Brazil its latest technologies.
