UFPE is now open for registration for a free distance specialization in Libras Teaching. Secure your spot and expand your skills!

The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) announces registration for 150 places in its free specialization in Teaching Libras, offered remotely.

Educational inclusion has become a priority in Brazilian public policies, reflecting the need to train professionals capable of meeting the demands of a diverse society.

In this context, Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) launches an initiative that promises to transform the careers of many educators and promote accessibility in education.

UFPE has opened registration for the Specialization course in Teaching Libras, offered free of charge in the Distance Education (EAD) modality.

Brazilian Sign Language is essential for communication and learning for deaf students.

In Brazil, Law No. 10.436/2002 recognizes Libras as a legal means of communication and expression for the deaf community.

However, there is still a major challenge in ensuring that teachers are properly trained to offer quality education.

By offering this specialization, UFPE contributes to meeting this demand, preparing educators to act more efficiently in the context of inclusive education.

With the growing demand for qualified educators, those who have this training are one step ahead of taking on more specialized roles in inclusive education.

Studies indicate that the presence of teachers trained in Libras significantly improves the academic performance of deaf students, providing a more equitable and accessible learning environment.
