Courses offered by IFAP
The Federal Institute is offering two main courses, both with a workload of 160 hours and aimed at linguistic improvement:
- Instrumental English: Focused on meeting the demands of the professional context, the course is ideal for those who want to improve their understanding and use of the language in specific situations, such as technical reading and business communication.
- Basic Spanish: With five fundamental disciplines, the course aims to develop essential skills for effective communication in Spanish, meeting both the personal and professional needs of participants.
Each course offers 80 places, totaling the 160 opportunities mentioned.
According to the notice, all classes will be taught in the evening, allowing students to combine studies with other daily activities.
Impact of language learning on the job market
Proficiency in foreign languages is one of the most valued skills in the job market today.
Multinational companies, startups and even public bodies seek professionals who can communicate in more than one language, especially English and Spanish, which are widely used in international negotiations.
According to experts, learning a new language not only increases your chances of employability, but also improves cognitive skills such as memory and concentration.
Additionally, language skills can open doors to educational and cultural opportunities, such as exchanges and participation in global events.
Who can participate?
The selection is aimed at candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Minimum age: 15 years complete.
- Education: Incomplete Elementary School II (6th to 9th grade), in accordance with the guidelines of the National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment (Pronatec).
- Technological resources: Have a computer or equivalent electronic device, as well as internet access.
- Availability: Have time to participate in the proposed activities and complete tasks throughout the course.

According to IFAP, the selection will be made by drawing lots, ensuring a fair and equal process for all applicants.
The results will be published on the official website of the Federal Institute of Amapá and selected candidates will need to present documentation to confirm the requirements.
If there are withdrawals, the vacancies will be redistributed to candidates on the reserve list.
Testimonials and previous experiences
Although this edition of the courses is new, similar experiences in other Federal Institutes show positive results.
Participants reported that the opportunity helped improve their self-confidence in speaking another language and significantly increased their chances of getting better jobs.
“I always wanted to learn English, but I couldn’t afford to pay for a course. When I signed up for a free program at the Federal Institute, it was like a dream come true. Today, I can understand technical documents and even watch movies without subtitles!” commented Ana Souza, a participant in a previous edition.
Why take advantage of this opportunity?
In an increasingly globalized world, mastering foreign languages is essential to broaden professional and personal horizons.

I want, Spanish
I want English
Many people over 15 years old do not want to and are not interested in taking advantage of this opportunity!! But I, who am 13, want to and want to, but I cannot because of my age. This is ridiculous. There should be no age limit for knowledge.
